Aspargó,
an ambitious project.

Asparagus from lands between sea and lake Conquering hearts and delighting palates across Europe.

Here, on a strip of land forming an isthmus between the Adriatic Sea and Lake Lesina, the Aspargó project, was first conceived. The idea was to associate the asparagus plants, one of the main crops of the Cooperative, with the name La Palma so that the excellence of the former would reflect upon the latter.

The asparagus is a spring vegetable that finds its ideal climatic balance in these lands, and thrives in soil whose inestimable benefits derive from its location on a narrow lick of land that divides the waters of the lake from the sea. This harmony with the environment and the natural landscape adds to the exclusivity of Aspargó.

The excellent results and quality we produce every day come as a result of experience, study, constant analysis and research, respect for the natural resources of the area, the deployment of advanced technologies and the promotion of sustainable agriculture. This is the sort of added value that the Aspargó project brings to a product that is already rich and complete in itself.

"Aspargó is a project designed to favour a short supply chain. Because the asparaguses are harvested from fields close to where they are processed, their unique fragrance and flavours are preserved. This is the added value that we bring.”

With an eye
towards the future.

In a tangible gesture towards environmental awareness, a study into CO2 emissions is being carried out in relation to our crops. By measuring the carbon footprint of the entire life cycle of an asparagus, we are aiming to understand and hence reduce the environmental impact of its production.

This transparent and responsible approach allows us to pass on detailed information to consumers interested in the sustainability of what we produce, and is part of a comprehensive vision that encompasses more than simply the production of high quality food.

The quality and
taste of Lake Lesina!
